Thanks for stopping by! My name is Brynna (BRIN-uh) Weir, and I’m an actor and singer based in Los Angeles, with a deep love for storytelling. I'm a current Hospitality Management major, minoring in Event Planning & Theatre Arts.
I am a firm believer in chasing all of your passions. In this industry, it can feel taboo not to be pursuing a BFA, but my path, like me, is unique. Prioritizing financial security does not make you any less of a serious actor. Still, Event Planning isn't my "backup", it coexists with my pursuit of performing and fuels my creativity in a different way.
I pride myself on being a passionate, driven, and adaptable performer. Put me where you need me, and I will put in the work to deliver! Collaboration, curiosity, and honesty are at the heart of everything I do; I am not afraid to take risks or change direction. I shine in musical theatre styles (Golden Age, Contemporary, Disney, etc.), but I, also, love bringing authenticity and emotional connection to country, folk, pop, and rock. I consider myself a strong mover: always learning, always improving, and always eager to blend seamlessly with my fellow performers.
My love for live theatre began long before I took the stage. I owe it all to my mama, who has been taking me to the Pantages since I was three. Still, it took me a whopping eleven years for 14 year old me to sit in the audience and recognize that being Elsa, Anna, or Troll #3 is a career. That's when I was bitten by the theatre bug. Two years later, I saw Newsies for the first time at The Playmill; and in that moment, I knew I wanted theatre to be my life. Newsies still gives me goosebumps and that one night at The Playmill changed me forever.
Compared to kids who grew up in the spotlight, I was a late bloomer. My only "credits" were the concerts I performed in front of my family's fireplace. Nothing about my journey has been "traditional," and I wouldn't have it any other way. For the past five years, I've poured my energy into building my craft, fueled by hard work and determination. My ultimate goal is to inspire other kiddos, teens, and even adults to never to stop chasing your dreams, no matter when they come to light.
Along the way, I've fallen in love with both the stage and the online theatre community. Sharing my BroadwayWorld Student Blogs and TikToks (@brynna.weir) with fellow theatre nerds is one of my favorite ways to connect. I've met some of my biggest cheerleaders (and closest friends) through virtual open calls and in-person callbacks!
When I'm not auditioning or performing, you can find me singing my dream roles for my dog, digging for obscure and perfectly curated audition rep (my hidden talent and I LOVE it!), daydreaming about my grandparents' cabin, spouting random Marvel & Broadway trivia, or booking my next theatre trip!
